So if there is someone else who believes in it or perhaps believes in YOU, then couldn't we take the world by storm... Perhaps just maybe. You have seen the way things are done and have asked yourself isn't there a better way? Let's take a look at Uber, it's just someone taking someone in a car to where they want to go and paying them for it. But Jade, we already have that, it's called a taxi. Oh that's right we do, so let's not bother then... BUT, didn't they just totally disrupt the market with the, 'Why is it done that way approach?' Couldn't we make it better and easier? So I was catching a cab with some work colleagues in sunny Brisbane, a colleague organised an Uber, while I hailed a taxi (there was 8 of us), it was there and available and I hadn't downloaded the Uber app yet. As we left at the same time to the hotel we were staying, we arrived at the same time, so what's the difference then, you ask. Well I can say I wasn't driven in a late model Audi like my friend in the Uber, I wasn't offered a refreshing beverage like my colleague and to top it off, the taxi's EFTPOS machine wasn't working, so after 3 failed attempts, I paid cash. Lucky I had cash, when do people have cash on them these days? Seeing as it was a work trip I further waited for him to write out a tax invoice for which took further time. If time is money, Uber won hands down.
So that's enough Uber-puffing, how does this help me? Well good question, I'll ask again, What makes you so special? What is the area you are frustrated about that you want to set right? That is your niche. That is your starting point. Perhaps you already have your game plan and are just waiting to pull the trigger. Perhaps you tried, but haven't seen much traction. The difference between success and failure is about how often you are willing to try again to get it right. Don't be discouraged by failed attempts, these are all steps on your way to finding the right market.
